And the Long Locks are Gone!

Today I had a hair appointment and finally decided to cut my hair more than the normal 1-2". I think I probably cut about 9-10" off! I couldn't believe it when I saw my hair dresser carry a large piece of my hair to the trash! There was no going back then. But... I do like it a lot, and my head feels A LOT lighter. Here are some pics.

Does He Really Grow Overnight?

This little guy seems to grow everyday. He looks bigger to me each time I get him out of his crib. A lot of it is probably from not spending all day with him since I am back at work now. He is getting stronger everyday. He almost has control of his head. and he is doing a lot better on his tummy now. He is always trying to sit up. And if you sit him in your lap, that's not good enough... he has to sit up even more. He just seems to be trying to do everything at once. Slow down Liam!!! Take it one step at a time, is what I tell him!
I feel like I am missing out on a lot with him. His personality is growing so much now, and he is a lot of fun to be around. He is smiling all the time. And the other night when I was giving him a bath, he really started belting out some laughter. It reminded me a lot of the way Ernie laughs. It was too cute. I just wish I could spend more time with him. By the time I pick him up from Rosa's and get home it is between 5-5:30. Then we give him a bath at 7, then a night time bottle, and off to bed he goes. He is in bed by 8 almost every night. Then we get up again early and start the day all over again. I can tell he misses me some days. He will be really clingy and a little cranky. And he only wants to be held. I am really hoping that maybe, I could find a job that I can do from home. The only thing that will be hard is finding a job that pays as much as what I am getting now....
Well tomorrow we get a day off together as a family. I am going to take a little bit of Mommy time, and get my hair done. I'm thinking of going shorter, so stay tuned for a picture of the new do!

Here are some pictures from the past few days:

Mommy & Me

Today was a wonderful day. I was looking forward to this day all week. My day off from work, and a whole day spend with my little guy. Let me tell you, I really miss him since I went back to work on Saturday. Tuesday was the hardest day this week. I'm not sure why Tuesday, but it just seemed that more people asked about Liam that day, so of course, I was thinking about him more. Rosa has been doing a great job with him, and she sends me pictures everyday on my phone of Liam. I love getting them. It makes me feel like I am there with him. So today we woke up at about 5:30am, after sleeping for 9 hours! Liam sleeps really well when I don't have to go to work, but on the mornings where I have to get up early, he is only sleeping 4-5 hours at a time. Otherwise, it is about 7-9 hours at a time. Anyways... we woke up early so I could go see the doctor. I have been having bad acne since the baby was born, so we are trying to nip that in the bud! Then we went to Ontario Mills. We did a lot of shopping. Mommy needed new jeans, and the baby needed some bigger clothes. There were so many sales, it was wonderful! We had lunch together. Liam had a bottle while I had some pizza. Liam was very happy today. He was laughing and smiling all day. And he was squealing! He likes the sound of him voice when it echos in a large store, or the food court :) Then we came home and just hung out! I could not have asked for a better day. Now I am really looking forward to Sunday, my next day off! Here are some pictures from the past few days. Rosa gave us one of those door way jumpers, and we just tried it out the other night. Liam likes sitting in it, for a little bit. Once he gets a little stronger in his neck and back, he will probably like it more.

A Bittersweet Day...

So, yesterday I had to go back to work. I was sad to go because I wouldn't be spending all day with Liam like I have for the past 12 weeks. But I was also looking forward to going back. I'm the kind of person that has to keep busy, and I actually really like working. It's just been hard the last couple of weeks because Liam is starting to develop his personality and he smiles, laughs and talks so much now that our days are so much fun when we are together. So we packed everything up and my Mom met us at Lowe's to pick Liam up. I got him all strapped in and gave him a kiss and he grunted at me like I was disturbing his sleep. I think what made the day harder was everyone asking me if I was missing him. Obviously I miss him, but asking that question didn't really make it an easier. He did really well with Grandma & Grandpa Corydon. He was laughing and smiling so much with them. Thank the Lord for great family and friends that are able to help. During the week Rosa is going to help watch the little guy. I am really excited! She has done a great job raising Angelica and she is a great friend. I am so much more comfortable knowing that Liam will be in an environment that I am familiar with, and there are not 6 different kids there with only one person watching them. Having all these people help has made it a little easier for me to go back to work. Plus, there is enough to do at work to keep me occupied so I am not constantly missing my guy all day.

Here are some pictures of our last day together before I went back to work. Liam was so smiley and talkative

I love the way he sleeps! He always has his arms out. And he even moves his blanket so his feet can hang out in the air!

Keep Us In Your Prayers

We have come upon a house in Redlands that may be possible for us to rent. There is also the option of renting to buy, which is what we really would like to do. We went to look at the house today, and it is in decent shape. There are some things we can fix here and there, but it is not bad. This gives us the opportunity to make the house really ours by adding our little touches. There are other people that have also applied for the house, and we are just waiting for the owner to complete fixing up some things with the house and to see if we are chosen. It would be a great opportunity for us. We would be a lot closer to work, family and friends, and we would have a house. We are living in an apartment right now, and we would really love to be able to have a place to call our own. We know that the decision is in God's hands, and if it is not the time for us to get a house, that's fine. When it is our time, we will find the perfect house. And if this is the house God has for us, GREAT! Please keep us in your prayers.

Girls Night Out!

Yesturday I had my first girls night out since Liam was born. This was a much needed night. Deron stayed home with Liam and actually had him in bed by 6:45pm. And he slept until 3:30am! My friends Leanne, Laura and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner. None of us have ever been there, and it was so much fun. EXPENSIVE, but fun! We had a cheese fondue, salad, main courses where we got to cook our own food, and then chocolate fondue. I think the best part was being able to get out and just have some girl talk. It's kinda hard to do that when you are the only girl in the house. It was also nice to get out for a little while before I go back to work on Saturday!

What a difference a week makes!

WOW! I didn't think that a baby could develop so much in one week. Liam seems to want to be an independent baby, and quick. His head is getting much stronger, and he can almost hold it up completely on his own. He is also trying to pull himself up into the sitting position when he is sitting in our laps, or in his car seat. He just holds onto our fingers and tries to pull himself up. Deron & I joke that our little guy is going to have some great abs soon from all these "sit-ups" he is doing. His smiles are not just smiles anymore either. He is laughing a lot more when he smiles. And instead of smiling at you because you are smiling at him, he is smiling when you talk to him. My favorite thing that is changing with our little guy is his hair. The hair on the top of his head is starting to come in a lot more. It is coarser and wavy! It is soooo cute. When I get him out of his bed in the morning he has a little bed head from rubbing his head on the bumbers. It's absolutely adorable. Now if only that hair would start growing on the back of his head! Liam has also found a new favorite toy. It is a monkey blanket. It's a flat monkey, except for the head, and it has feet that the babies can chew on. Well, since Liam has found his hands, he has also found his mouth, and anything his hands are holding are to be put in his mouth. Needless to say, the monkey blanket goes in his mouth. He also likes to cuddle with it as well.

Here are some pictures of his growing hair, and his favorite toy, his monkey blanket!

Did Someone Say Relaxation???

Yeah! for some relaxation! Today Rosa and I took the kiddies to lunch at the Gourmet Pizza Shoppe (my favorite place, plus I get a discount!) Yum-O! I think I could eat there almost everyday. We had some pizza, salad and cheesy garlic bread.

It's funny to see both Liam and Angelica take pictures. They were sitting together in the booth, and it seemed like they would both make faces when the camera flashed. What a bunch of sillies!

Then we were off to get our toes done. It has been quite a while since I have gotten a pedicure, and it was wonderful! And the best part was getting a back massage while my toes were being pampered. My back has been aching bad lately and it was nice to have some massaging.

Then it was off to Baskin Robins for some yummy ice cream! We got the new Reese's sundae, and it was fabulous! Angelica also really enjoyed her ice cream, as you can see!

We had a great day. It's always nice to spend time with Rosa. She makes me laugh all the time. If you've checked out her blog, you've probably already read the same story and have seen the same pictures.... but I decided to put it up also :)

Just Because...

I figured I would just post some new pictures that I have taken of our adorable little guy the past few days. We haven't really done anything eventful over the last couple of days since Brittany's birthday, other than laundry and some shopping at Lowe's. Liam still grows every day. He looks like he gets bigger each time we lay him down at night. He started trying to roll onto his side, and since we have been practicing with him, he does it much more. I think he does it in his sleep, because each morning he is in a completely different spot then we put his down in. He is starting to laugh a little now too. He mimics facial expressions a little more each day now as well. It is so neat to see him grow. He is completely different from when he was born. Now I can't even picture him being a brand new baby. Here are the pictures we have taken recently.
