We just keep getting older

Today is Brittany's 14th birthday! WOW! That makes me feel so old! I still picture her and David as little kids. It's so strange to see them growing up into adults. We celebrated her birthday last night and had lots of fun. We went bowling, which I haven't done in years. Dad & I beat Brittany at both games that we played... :)But I think we are both going to be paying for it. We were pretty sore by the end of the game. Then we went out to PF Changs for dinner. It was a nice dinner followed by a delicious desert! The banana spring rolls are the best! We definitely enjoyed eating those. Liam pretty much slept through the entire night. He fell asleep in the bowling alley (that kid sleeps in the nosiest places, and doesn't in quiet places), woke up to eat a bit, then fell asleep at PF Changs. I think Brittany really enjoyed her birthday this year. On their way home lastnight, they stopped to get Brittanys ears pierced. This is something she has been wanting for a while. Here are a few pictures from last night.

A little late....

Well this is our Easter blog, but it is a little late. Believe it or not, I haven't had time! We've been very busy over the last few days, and Liam isn't taking good naps, so I haven't really had a free hand to type up a blog. We've been going to lots of baseball and basketball games for David & Brittany lately too. We seem to have something to do everyday now. It's really nice to get out and do stuff. It's getting hard to just sit at home everyday. Those days are welcome here and there still though :)

Last Thursday My Mom & I were watching Brittany's basketball game, and my Mom got a call from my Dad. David had gotten hurt during his baseball practice. They were practicing stealing 2nd base, but sliding head first back to 1st. He had done this ok the couple of times before, but on the last time, he didn't get his arms down all the way and he dislocated his shoulder! He went to urgent care that night, and they popped his arm back into place, but he cannot play baseball for a while. He has to get an MRI to make sure the fluid sack in his shoulder is still attached to the bone. Hopefully it is, otherwise, he has to have surgery. Poor David, and the season has barely started. He probably won't be playing for a while, if not at all!

We hope everyone had a great Easter. What a great holiday! I can't think of a better holiday, other than Christmas, to celebrate what God has done for us. He is so awesome! We went to church on Good Friday with my family and then out to lunch. Then on Easter we went to Breakfast with my family, then to church. We came home and Liam & I took a nap, and then later we went to Deron's parents for Easter dinner. We didn't really take any pictures that day. I sort of forgot :(. But we took a few when we got home. The outfit Liam is wearing is not his Easter outfit. He kinda dirty his Easter outfit halfway through the day.

We've had a busy week so far. We've visited with friends and family, and tonight we are having a birthday dinner with my friend Rosa. Tomorrow we are going out to dinner for Brittany's 14th birthday. Can you believe that she is getting so big?? I know I can't!

My, What a Big Boy We Have!

Liam had his 2 month check-up today, and he is a BIG boy! He now weighs 14lbs 4 oz., and is 24 1/2" inches long. His head is also 16 1/2" inches. He is getting chubby and long! The doctor said that he looks really good that he is in the top percentile for his size. He also had to get 3 shots in his chubby little thighs and he had to drink some medicine. He cried so hard when he got his shots. It probably wasn't all that great being asleep and then woken up by someone sticking a needle in your leg. It made me really sad to see him cry. He even pouted out his lip for the nurse. But he is healthy and doing well.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We hope everyone enjoyed this day as much as we did! We love this day. It is a day that we get to celebrate our heritage. Deron & I were going to make corned beef and cabbage today, but Deron had a craving for it on Saturday, so we made it then. And we have been enjoying it since. Here are some pictures of us in our green outfits. Liam did a lot of smiling today in his "Kiss me I'm Irish" outfit.

Why I love the holidays.....

The reason that I have for loving the holidays is probably not a good one. I have come to realize that for every major holiday (Christmas, Valentines Day, Easter) there are also Reese's trees, hearts and eggs that come out in the store. I do not need to tell many people that my favorite candy is a Reese's peanut butter cup. I L O V E them! This is probably not the best thing for me to be eating right now either, considering I am trying to loose some weight :) But can I just say, that I went to Target on Friday and bought a 6 pack of Reese's eggs, and there are no more left! I just finished the last one!

Needless to say, that I am willing to give up losing a few pounds around the holidays in order to enjoy a very delicious Reese's egg, heart, tree, or whatever the holiday calls for!

Catching Up!

I am not getting to update our blog as often as I would like. We had a busy week, and I thought I would just combine it all into one blog instead of multiples. After Lisa left, Liam & I were trying to get ourselves back on a routine. We spent so much, well deserved time with her that I think Liam was full of excitement :) He had a hard time sleeping on Saturday night, but come Sunday night he was finally back to his normal sleeping pattern. He actually got a little better during the week. For the most part he is sleeping for about 5 hours, then 3-4. On Thursday night he slept for almost 6 hours, and then for 4 more hours. It was wonderful! Lastnight, however, he only slept for 3 hours at a time. I guess you never really know what is going to happen! I just hope for the best when I put him down for bed.

We went to see Uncle David play baseball this week. His team had a tournament all week, so we stopped by on Tuesday & Wednesday. It was lots of fun, and the weather was pretty good. We had to stop and get Liam a hat so his precious little head wouldn't burn. He loved being outside in the breeze.

On Tuesday we also went and visited Grandpa Corydon at work and had lunch with him. We got to meet almost all of his co-workers and the ladies loved Liam. He was all smiles when the ladies were around!

Thursday we had dinner at Red Robin with Rosa & Angelica. Liam finally stayed awake this time so Rosa could hold him. Then we went to Market Night to work off the food we had just eaten :) Liam slept for pretty much the entire time. But when he did wake up, all he did was look around at all the different people and listen to the sounds. He was hungry, but he just chewed on his stroller strap until we got to the car.

Friday we went to Lowe's to visit again. I only have 4 more weeks until I have to return to work. This time is going by very fast. I am kinda looking forward to going back to work. I am the type of person that really needs some adult interaction, and I have really been missing it. But... that also means that Liam is going to be in daycare. I know I will really miss him, but fortunatly, he is very close to my work, and I can go and visit him on my lunches.

Here are some pictures from our adventures this week:

Busy Week!

This was a very busy week for us. We were supposed to go to one of David's baseball games this week, but it was cancelled. So we will probably go this coming week instead. I had my 6 week postpartum check-up on Wednesday, and the Doctor said everything is fine! This means I can start exercising. YEAH! My sister Lisa also came in from Georgia on Wednesday. She hasn't gotten to meet Liam yet, so we were all excited for this trip. Liam & I went to see her on Thursday, and spent all day with her. It was a lot of fun. Then on Friday, our whole family went out for lunch at Islands, and for a stroll at Victoria Gardens. Then on Saturday, Lisa & I attended a wedding for one of her friends. This was the first time that I have really left Liam. He stayed with my parents and he did well. It was only for about 3 hours, but I couldn't believe how much I missed him. We spent the rest of the day with the family, and said goodbye to Lisa on Saturday night since her flight left so early today. It was very nice to see her. We wish Deron would have been able to have a better work schedule since he was not able to visit at all with her. Now we are just working on getting back to a normal routine. The last few days were a lot for Liam and myself. We were traveling a lot, and there were not many naps taken. Lastnight was a really hard night. Liam didn't sleep well, which in turn meant I didn't sleep well. He was up at 2:30 am and wide awake! After a few hours he finally went to sleep, but he was up about every hour after that. Hopefully we will get back on our routine soon!

Liam still grows everyday. I am amazed each morning when I wake up at how big he is getting. His smiles are getting bigger all the time. And he is cooing a lot more, as well as starting to laugh. We were actually able to get a good picture of him smiling. Usually he stops smiling right when the camera flashes.

Growing!

I cannot believe how much Liam is growning. A couple of days ago I weighed him and he was 12 lbs! He is getting soooo BIG! His little thighs are starting to fill out, and his belly... he loves to push that little thing out. He seems to be very proud of his growing belly. Not only is he growing physically, but developmentally as well. He is so alert and he watches everything. He is smiling and cooing so much more every day. He seems to have little conversations with us when he is in a good mood. And, he is starting to sleep a little more at nights. Last night he slept for 5 1/2 hours! WOW! I think that is a record for him. Our days are getting better each day. We are starting to develop a routine and it seems to be sticking for the most part. My sister Lisa (and Liam's Auntie) is coming in on Wednesday for a visit. She hasn't gotten to meet Liam yet, so it will be exciting to see her. We have a very busy week of baseball games, doctors appointments and family visits ahead of us. My next blog may be delayed, but there will great pictures to go along with it.
