We have had a very busy past week. I hosted a baby shower for Rosa on May 17th that was a lot of fun. I don't have any pictures... sorry. But when your hosting, it's hard to take them. Liam was sick on Sunday night through Tuesday, as our previous post stated. He is doing much better. We are convinced that he was teething as well as having a virus. He is still getting in his top molars and they look like they have finally broken through. I attended another baby shower on Saturday for an old friend of mine, Shannon. That was lots of fun as well. We have also been trying out some new things around here that have made our nights a little more different. We took Liam off the bottle last Saturday, and that worked really well. He wasn't too happy the first night, but has done fine since. We also have started putting him in his bed while he is still awake so he can teach himself to go to sleep on his own. We should have started this when he was much younger.... but we have our excuses. We started this on Thursday with just the naps and it was working pretty good. Saturday we started with the nights, and so far, it seems to be working fairley well. Keep your fingers crossed that it will continue. That seems to be about all that is going on around here. We hope everyone has a great Memorial Day, and please take some time to remember and pray for our troops that have served and are serving our country so we can have our freedom. Thanks Matt!!!

Here are some pictures from the week!

Liam was so proud of himself that he ate his yougurt all by himself!

I am not really quite sure how Liam missed his eye when he was drawing on himself...

I usually try to always keep pants on Liam since he has been trying to take off his diaper. Well, the other day he was sitting next to me on the couch doing this...

And we can't forget Deron's other son... Jake!

The Last 48 Hours

Sunday

5:45am- Liam wakes up with a cough and a runny nose. We get ready, go to church, and my parents take Liam for the afternoon so I could host a babyshower.

4:30pm- My mom calls and says that Liam has a temp. of 100.4, she gave him tylenol.

9pm- went to sleep. Liam was really restless and sweaty. More tylenol, and he slept with mom.

2am- Liam has a fever of 102.3 and is crying, nose is running, coughing and all he wants to do is lay on mom because she's cooler than him. He doesn't want anything! I realize that I am going to have to stay home from work. I also remembered that my cell phone isn't working, and I gave my business card for my babysitter away earlier that day!!! Got on facebook to email the person I gave it to, and to whitepages.com to find my babysitters phone number. Got the numbers. Went back to sleep.

530am- got up to call off

645am- got up to call babysitter

7am- Liam woke up, just miserable.

10-1130 Liam slept

12-2- went to Sprint to get a new phone and to the store to get milk.

3pm- Liam falls asleep

345pm- Liam wakes up with a temp. of 103.2, call the doctor

345pm-530pm Liam slept

820pm- check in at Kaiser urget care

915pm- nurse checks Liam's vitals and sends us back to the waiting room

925pm- called back into the doctors office

1005pm- doctor comes in, we had both fallen asleep while waiting

1030pm- left Kaiser

What a day! I am glad it's over. It was quite long. Needless to say, Liam was sick. He has a virus that should only last 48 hours. Found out I wasn't giving him enough Tylenol, which made a huge difference when I did give him the right amount. My poor little guy was so miserable yesterday. I'm glad he is getting back to normal.

Because I had to...

My mom took this picture of Liam on Easter while we were at breakfast. It is too cute to not share with everyone. Enjoy!

Precious Sleeping Baby

Liam feel asleep the other night on our bed and just looked so precious and innocent I just had to take some pictures. It's not too often that he is still enough to get clear pictures.

Catch Up!

We hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! Deron had to work that day, so Liam & I went to have breakfast with my family at the Kopper Kettle. It was so yummy. That place has the best food! Then, we went home and just spent the day together. Deron got me a patio swing for Mother's day so we spent some time outside on the swing.

Our Week.

Sorry for the lack of postings, it has been a busy, and stressful week. I am glad this week is over. Some bright things... Liam is really growing up! His vocabulary has seemed to increase so much this week. Tonight he said bless you to me when I sneezed! He definitely knows how to express himself, although Deron & I get frustrated because we don't know what he is saying sometimes.

This week I tried out a new recipe on Liam. I have had it before since my Mom makes it, but he has not. Tuna Burgers. He had one bite, and this was the face that he made

They taste great to me. They have a lot of ingredients, so it is not just canned tuna, and you eat them like a burger... But Liam had his own opinion about them. Anytime we would say tuna burger he would make a face. Like the ones below.

Thursday was full of new things for us. Liam & I went shopping and found some new things for to make for Mother's day. Liam had lots of fun making them, as did I. I cannot show you all the pictures, because the Grandma's read our blog.

Liam also found a pen and decided that his leg needed something extra

On Friday, Daddy came home with my Mother's Day present, a patio swing. I have been wanting one for a long time. Liam was so interested in what Daddy was doing. He really had to be the big helper. In fact, he was such a helper, that he actually whacked Deron in the head with one of the pieces.

That was the fun parts of our week. We hope you all have a great day tomorrow celebrating your Mom's. And, for those of you Moms and soon to be Moms, we wish you a very happy Mother's Day. We hope you all know how special you are.

Just Some Fun Pics

Liam likes to eat his snacks in his beach chair with his feet on the coffee table
