First Word

Liam said his first word yesterday! He has been mumbling things here and there and has been saying "babababababa" for a couple of days, but yesterday while we were getting ready to go, he started saying "baba" and was actually reaching for his bottle! I wasn't really for sure if he was associating it, but then when I went to pick him up at Rosa's, she told me he had done the same thing. I can't believe he is already starting to talk! My little man is growing up so fast! Now I am working on getting him to say Mama!

2 Years!

Tuesday is Deron & I's 2nd Anniversary, but we celebrated today instead. We both have to work all week, and it will be too hard to try to go out during the week. Deron's parents watched Liam while we went to have lunch at Chili's and went to the movies to see Indiana Jones. It was weird not having the baby. We have really only gone 1 place without him, and that was a wedding. It was nice. We need to have more dates like that. You sometimes forget that you are still a couple and still need to spend time together as a couple. You get caught up in laundry, dishes, dirty diapers, bottles, etc. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and a great father to our little Liam. I am thankful everyday for what God has given me. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us.

Liam's Big Boy Chair

We normally put Liam in either his Bumbo or his bouncy chair to feed him. Well.... he can almost topple over his bouncy chair, and doesn't really care for his bumbo. So, yesterday I went to Target and bought Liam a high chair. We got the kind that straps onto your dining room table chairs. We have bar stool type chairs already, and it helps save room. Now he has his own designated chair at the table. He love that chair. Mainly I think because he can sit up straight and not fall over. This little guy is always trying to sit up. He did really well last night for dinner and good this morning for breakfast too. He likes to bang his hands and toys on the tray.

A Visit With Family

On Wednesday, we met some of my family at Claim Jumpers to celebrate my Uncle Jerry's birthday, and Father's day. My Uncle Jerry & Aunt Joyce were visiting from Portland, so this was the first time Liam had met them. He loved them! He was smiling so much at Aunt Joyce, and at Uncle Jerry. He went through almost the entire meal just smiling. He started to get tired towards the end, since it was past his bed time, so he is crying in a few of the pictures. Below are pictures of Liam with Great Aunt Joyce, and Great Grandpa Ted.

Lastnight...

7:45pm: put Liam to bed

9:30: I fell asleep

9:40pm: Liam wakes up. He is wide awake. I lay down in our bed with him, and he goes back to sleep

10:05pm: put Liam back in his bed.

10:15pm: Liam wakes up again. Deron gets him this time and holds him until he falls asleep again.

10:25: put Liam back in his bed.

10:30pm: Liam is awake and crying again. Deron brings him into our room and lays him on the bed next to me. He wants to go to sleep, but he is trying to keep himself awake for some reason. Deron makes him a little bottle, feeds him, and he goes right back to sleep. He sleeps like Deron. Rolling all over the bed and smacking me with his arms while he sleeps. He has been asleep since, and it is 5:33am.

What a L O N G night! Needless to say, I am tired!

Happy 1st Father's Day Deron!

I am so excited for this day. Deron loves being Liam's Daddy, and it's so nice to have a day to celebrate just him, and all the other many Father's in this world! Deron did have to work today. He had to go in at 7am, so Liam & I put his present out by his coffee pot, so when he woke up he would see it. We went to Color Me Mine and painted him a coffee mug, which he had coffee in this morning. Liam's little footprint is also on one side of the mug.

Then we had to say bye to Daddy so he could go to work. Liam actually took a good picture with him today. I was so proud!

I took a few pictures of Liam in his Father's Day outfit, then shortly after he spit up. Kinda like he did with his Mother's Day outfit.

We went to church, then came home to wait for Daddy to get off work. When he came home we got ready to have dinner with my parents, then go over to Deron's parents for a visit and some first time swimming!

Liam took to the water like a fish. He loves his bath, so this was probably just like one big bath tub to him. We got a lot of good pictures. We were able to visit with Grandpa & Grandma McCandless, Aunt Kaite, Aidan, Uncle Erik and Aunt Sarah!

Could there really be teeth already?

Liam has been sooooooooo grumpy all day! He is never this grumpy. He usually gets a little cranky when he is tired and trying to keep himself awake, or hungry. But he has been whining and crying all day. Deron and I felt around on his gums, and we think we are feeling two little bumps. We're not sure if he is starting to cut teeth, but he sure does want everything in his mouth more than usual. Especially the cold teething ducky. I suppose that it is possible that he could be getting teeth already, but honestly, I don't know if I am ready for that yet!
